\"gale_crater\"<\/a>Specialists of the Open University and the University of Leicester (UK) studied the past of the Red planet and found that water existed in the Gale crater for a long time. And if the earthman had the opportunity to taste it, it would be unlikely he liked.<\/p>\n

Using the data obtained by the Mars Rover Curiosity, scientists came to the conclusion that the crater once housed lakes. Evaporating water formed mineral veins on the surface of Mars that we can see right now. The quantity of sulfates and sodium in the Martian water was 20 times more than that which we buy in bottles, so the taste of it was very unpleasant.<\/p>\n
