“ONTUSTIK” SEC SUCCESSFULLY SOLVES THE ISSUE OF UNIFICATION OF SMALL AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS: VICE PM

“Ontustik” Socio-Entrepreneurial Corporation successfully solves the issue of unification of small agricultural producers, Vice Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev said today. He recognized the Corporation’s work as worthy for implementing in other regions, Kazinform reports.

As is known, Shymkent hosts a regional forum on Partnership in agro-industrial complex today.

Representatives of all state bodies which are responsible for development of the country’s agro-industrial complex have gathered for the forum that aims at elaboration of joint measures among the Ministry of Agriculture, “KazAgro” National Holding and “Ontustik” SEC. For this, the participants have considered all problems and needs of farmers and how these problems are solved by the Corporation. “The socio-entrepreneurial corporations have been working in Kazakhstan for a year. These are business-structures, that is why while establishing them we didn’t restrict their activity and let them define it themselves taking into account peculiarities of the territory. To my mind, “Ontustik” SEC successfully defined the main direction of is work”, U. Shukeyev said.

After a detailed estimation of the resources and potential of three oblasts – South Kazakhstan, Zhambyl and Kyzylorda – on the territories of which the Corporation works, it was decided to use new technologies in its development. But realization of this idea on the basis of separate small farms seemed impossible. And the SEC started to establish service-purchase centers which would solve a wide range of problems in agriculture due to the state financing.

“Ontustik” SEC began to work on unification of small agricultural enterprises around these service-purchase centers. These centers provide the farmers with all necessary things. They not purchase their products but also supply them to the market”, U. Shukeyev said.
