WATER DAY CELEBRATED ON KARAKUM RIVER BANK
Yesterday, the national holiday "A drop of water is a grain of gold" was celebrated on the bank of the artificial Karakum River, at the cross of the river and one of Ashgabat's most beautiful mains - Andaliba Street. A festive water show was held there, the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports.
A concert and an exhibition demonstrating the irrigation history and latest achievements in this sphere were organized on the bank of the river. Within the framework of festivities the Ashgabat residents planted new trees near the Karakum river side that will form a park zone there.
In the last years, celebrations of the national holiday "A drop of water is a grain of gold" were marked by the opening of the largest water reservoir Dostluk and Archabil water reservoir.

KYRGYZSTAN STARTED TO SUPPLY POWER TO KAZAKHSTAN
Kyrgyzstan started to supply power to Kazakhstan. According to “Electrical Stations” OJSC, it is started to export power to the neighboring country from April 1, in concordance with conditions of treaties, concluded on March 20 through advertised bidding. The maximum price, offered by purchasers, was 1.52 cents for one kilowatt-hour. In April, it is expected to supply 50 million kilowatt-hours.
Electrical Stations for this first time worked out and conducted advertised bidding aimed to increase competitiveness among buyers of Kyrgyz power as well as to make export more transparent.
