ECOSAN DELIVERS HUMANITARIAN AIDS TO ARAL SEA AREA
Ecosan, environment and health organization, and Uzbekistan Railways, delivered humanitarian aid worth UZS 50 million to Karakalpakstan.
The regular health train brought clothes, shoes and other goods, which will be distributed among large and low-income families, elderly and the disabled, as well as social objects.
Since the beginning of this year, similar cargo was delivered to Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Namangan, Surkhandarya and Ferghana regions. The total cost of the humanitarian aid to these regions made up more than UZS 250 million.
Until the end of 2007, more health trains will be sent to other regions of Uzbekistan.

GDP GROWTH FOR 1Q OF 2007 MADE 10.3%: KAZAKH PM
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov said at today’s governmental session that all the sectors of the national economy are characterized by stable growth.
According to him, GDP growth for the first quarter of 2007 in comparison with the analogous period of 2006 made 10.3%. The volume of the domestic industrial production increased by 9.6%. As for the volume gain of the agricultural bulk production for the abovementioned period it made 3.7%.
The volume of investments into the basic capital has shown growth of 7.1%. The external turnover hit the rate of USD 10.5 billion. The inflation rate declined and amounted to 2.6%.
The revenue side of the state budget was overfulfilled for 15% and accounted for KZT 553.3 billion.
